Strengths: immune to poison, flame proof, strong against; normal, grass, ice, flying, psychic, bug, dragon, steel (got most of these from heatrans stats cause it was the only fire/steel type i found)

Personality: Emery is very creative and loves to improvise. He hates anything along the lines of rules and restrictions. Even just basic instructions that have been set by someone else turn into a challenge as he likes to live by his own rules and do things differently. He often collects random junk that people have thrown out and makes them into something more useful, because of this he often gets upset when people throw out things that he thinks he can fix or rebuild. He is almost always fiddling with something, whether it be tinkering with a current project or tearing up a leaf, he feels uncomfortable not doing anything to the point where he will sometimes take things off people just to fiddle with it. Emery is terrified of being trapped and if he doesn't have some way to get out of a space he is in he will go a little bit nuts, because of this he never locks the door to a room he is in or he always has the key. He is pretty friendly with everyone but can get suspicious easily and most people, though they like him, find him a bit strange and tend to avoid spending a lot of time with him. Despite this, people often come to him when they want something fixed, to give him their unwanted junk and sometimes to make various stuff for them. Although he may not seem the type Emery can be serious when the need arises and is actually very focused.

History/backstory:

Emery is the youngest in a family of 8 consisting of  a mum, dad, 4 older brothers, one older sister and himself. All his siblings were closer in age with each other than they were with him and his parents were always busy working on their farm to provide for their big family. Emery often spent a lot of time alone or with his sister whom he was closest to, but she was out helping on the farm a lot too. Because he was often alone he filled his days gathering up junk he found on the beach nearby and making things out of it which began his interest in inventing. He read many books on the subject and his parents and sister supported the idea, though the brothers all thought it was stupid and picked on him for it as they were more into fighting and saw inventing as a waste of time. His fear of being trapped came from an experience he had when he found himself accidentally locked in the basement for 4 days before someone found him and he has been afraid of something like it happening again. By the time Emery decided to move into the Quilava-Quarry settlement his brothers had already left home to travel abroad looking for work. His sister also decided to join him after a while on the settlement as a producer in order to spend more time with him.  Emery met his best friend Telina at her family's farm on an excursion with his sister Leilani. She often took him with her when she went to other farms as she thought he might be interested, which he wasn't. he always snuck off whenever his sister's back was turned so that he could wander around the farm and look for various junk or objects in which to make stuff with. While he was focused on this he didn't notice the other quilava standing in the long grass and accidentally bumped into her. Despite being 4 years younger than her they became fast friends, partly due to Telina taking an interest in Emery's ambitions to be an inventor and he took just as much interest in her studies of how plants work. Eventually Telina became an inventor and joined Emery at Quilava-Quarry.
